Data Papera handles
Papera may process guest-mode device state, account data, library data, notification settings and device tokens, and ad-delivery identifiers or signals where applicable and allowed.
Feed content such as paper titles, authors, abstracts, and source links is product content rather than personal data collected about you. Some of that metadata is sourced from third-party providers such as arXiv.
How Papera uses data
- Operate the app and feed.
- Authenticate users and manage accounts.
- Sync collections, saves, likes, and notes.
- Send the optional daily digest.
- Serve sponsored cards where allowed.
- Provide support and protect the service.
Notifications and ads
Notifications are opt-in. Papera prompts for notification permission only after onboarding for signed-in users.
AdMob may process device or advertising identifiers depending on your region, platform, and consent choices. Google UMP is used to manage consent before ad requests are made where required. On iOS, Papera may request App Tracking Transparency only in builds that enable that ad flow.
Your choices
- Turn notifications on or off in the app.
- Review ad privacy choices in the app's Privacy & ads area.
- Delete your account from the app or from the public deletion page.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app through Profile → Delete account, through the public deletion page at /delete-account, or by contacting papera.app@icloud.com from your account email.
Third-party sources
Papera may surface paper metadata from third-party sources such as arXiv. Papera is not affiliated with or endorsed by arXiv or Cornell University. See /third-party for attribution details.
